The story of the Solvang Doll.
Anthony of Solvang made the first Barbie doll in 1957.
1984 Anthony's of Solvang 36" porcelain and composition John Wayne doll fully jointed and beautifully detailed to the likeness of John Wayne.
This John Wayne doll was not mass produced it was only made upon request of the buyer and each will come signed at the back of the head.
Molds used.
This particular set of molds is for a 36" Body Mold. These molds fit the Elvis, Rhett, Duke, and Quanah (Indian) dolls.
